Tenshi Publishing is a sister site to Kenzo Amariyo which is my blog. I am a UK author of several non-fiction books, and I know only to well from my own publishing journey how difficult it can be for any author to find a literary agent and be offered a traditional publishing contract, (not that I would want one these days).
Tenshi Publishing came to be in 2021, it was primarily set up to house my own books rather than have them on my blog. In June 2026 it was completely revamped and re-born with a different purpose in mind, that purpose was and is, to aid other non-fiction authors on their own publishing journey, especially non-fiction authors in and around Devon.
Tenshi Publishing – We are a micro book publisher in East Devon, our focus is on works of Inspiration, Poetry, Alternative Medicine and Spirituality; that does not mean we will not consider any other category of non-fiction, it just means that this is our main focus at this present time.
Although we are a publisher and our focus is on reaching bookshops, libraries and wholesalers etc, we do also offer our books to the UK general public on this website. We aim to offer new and refreshing books that have been edited and printed to a high standard whilst still being offered at reasonable prices.
We use a highly regarded top-tier UK trade printer that offers high-quality offset (litho) printing which ensures quality and consistent colour whether we print 100 books or 500 books. In the near future we will be offering our authors a printing service for business cards and flyers and will eventually offer the service to authors outside of our publishing arena.
We Focus on Quality
Our focus is not on quantity but on quality with our desire being to bring a sense of well-being and satisfaction to the author and every reader. Tenshi Publishing can only take on a handful of authors at a time, so if you see that the yellow box on the homepage says that we are taking submissions, then don’t waste time. We are mostly a hybrid publisher, which means we are author subsidized, in other words we work collaboratively with the majority of our authors and share some of the financial responsibility, we cannot take on all of the financial responsibility; when possible, we will offer a traditional contract.
We value high standards and ethics and aim to work within the parameters set out in established trade authorities, we value being members of trade authorities and associations as they offer some protection to you the author and us, the publisher; they are also a good source of information on standards and legalities. Please be aware that as I write this, it is July 2026, we have been open for less than a week, and although our aim is to permit organic growth to the company, it will take time so we ask for your patience. If we do have to outsource, we will only use copyeditors and proofreaders that are registered with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
Please Note
I cannot express this enough, we are not a vanity publisher who make most of their profit from charging what can be extortionate upfront costs, as well as pushing other services to squeeze even more money from the author.
Our main goal is to help you produce your book, get it in front of your audience, and ensure that you, the author, and Tenshi Publishing as the publisher, both benefit from royalties. We hope to have a long lasting relationship with all of our customers and hope that each and everyone of you will feel part of the Tenshi family.
